As if we needed more bad news.

I was checking out iPhonining Japan a couple of days ago and caught this post.

iPhonining Japan: iPhone App: 今日の地震 ‘Today’s Earthquakes’

Looked cool, so I installed the app and checked out the quake activity in Japan for the last 24 hours.

ummm.  Ok.  I think that says there have been 4 earthquakes in Japan over 4.2 magnitude in the last day.  Hmmmm.  Do you think there might be a problem here?

Update: 4/2  Looks like Mt. Asama blew this morning.  Hope no-pne was nearby.  As for me, I'm going to limit my elevator time today and consider not taking the subway home tonight.

    At least the wealth of earthquakes over the past few days gave me an opportunity to test the earthquake application! I can confirm that in the event of a big earthquake the server tends to collapse under the load for the first few minutes after the quake, but does return results within ten minutes as promised!
    Anyway, must go and buy 100kg of rice and 3000 packets of dried soup. 🙂

  2. It was too calm for a while, it was bound to happen. Now, I won’t read you the stats for the expected big one.
